Professor Russell Viner takes up role as °µÍø½ûÇø President

Professor Viner, an academic paediatrician and adolescent physician at the UCL Institute of Child Health in London, has offically taken up the position of °µÍø½ûÇø President. Russell works clinically in paediatric and adolescent diabetes at University College Hospital.

In an article published in the , Professor Viner says the health and prosperity of the nation depends on investment in child health - arguing that the current generation is 'overlooked' and it's now 'time to act.'

In his first message from the President in °µÍø½ûÇø's Focus newsletter due out soon, Professor Viner sets out his priorities for his presidency, including re-examining the College's offer to members, supporting paediatricians across their professional lives - from their first steps into training through to pre-retirement and facing the challenges in the modern health services including stretched resources, rota gaps and increasing clinical demands.
